Expanded Duty Dental Assistant

Wendy is an invaluable member of the clinical team at Palm Family Dentistry. With 35 years of experience in the dental industry, Wendy brings a high level of expertise to her role as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA). She joined Dr. Palm's practice in January 2023.

Wendy received her initial training through LSU Dental Assistant School, supplemented by extensive hands-on training throughout her career. Her primary responsibilities include assisting the doctors in treating patients, cleaning operatories, and prepping materials for dental procedures and lab work.

What Wendy loves most about her job is the chance to help patients feel comfortable in the dental environment and to treat them like family. She finds deep satisfaction in assisting patients to achieve a smile they are proud of. This supportive atmosphere extends to her colleagues; she appreciates that everyone on the team is kind and hardworking.

Wendy was initially drawn to the field simply because she always liked dentistry. Outside of the office, she loves going out to eat, spending time sitting by the pool in the summer, and babysitting her grand-dog, Denver. A fun fact that sets her apart is that she is an "untouchable Christmas tree decorator," a talent that speaks to her attention to detail and creative flair!
