Patient Info

At Palm Family Dentistry we love welcoming new patients and their families to our two convenient locations in Baton Rouge and Prairieville. We provide a wide range of dental services and treatments to suit all ages, regardless of what stage of life you might be in. We look forward to creating lasting relationships with patients to help ensure a lifetime of healthy smiles.

What You Should Know Before Your First Visit

We welcome you to visit Palm Family Dentistry at either of our locations. Our Prairieville dental office is located near Ascension Parish library, near the intersection of Highway 42 and Highway 44 and the neighborhood Walmart. Our Baton Rouge location is across the street from the Baton Rouge Main Library, near the corner of Goodwood Boulevard and Lobdell Avenue.

We treat patients from the ages of five to 100, providing experienced dentistry at every stage of life. We in-network with most dental insurance plans, and our office manager will cheerfully handle the claim on your behalf to help ensure you get the most out of your benefits. We also offer third-party financing by way of CareCredit, as well as an in-house financing program for more extensive treatments.

When you are ready to schedule your appointment at either our Baton Rouge or Prairieville, LA dental offices, we encourage you to give us a call directly for expedited scheduling. As an alternative, you can use the online portal to contact us via email.

Your First Appointment

You can print out our new patient forms and bring them to your first dental appointment, which will save you some time. Or you can show up a bit early and fill them out in our dental office. We will also ask you to sign HIPAA and consent forms. Be sure to bring along your ID and any insurance cards you might have.

Your first visit with us will include a thorough examination of your teeth and supporting oral tissue such as gums and jaw joints. We might also recommend dental x-rays to check in between your teeth and underneath older fillings for any signs of disease or decay that might not yet be visible to the naked eye. In most cases, one of our experienced hygienists will thoroughly clean and polish your teeth.

If your dentist spots any potential dental issues, we’ll discuss those with you as well as recommended treatments. We won’t give you a sales pitch for necessary dental care; we’ll talk with you and give you as much information as you need so you can make the best decision for your oral health, budget, and lifestyle.

Many of our long-time patients feel like a part of our family, and that is our goal with you as well. Just let us know what we can do to help make your time with us as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
